Participants traveling by air should schedule return flights for late afternoon on September 19 or plan to depart on September 20.
Learn from Industry Experts
This workshop is administered by career professionals with more than 40 years of combined experience in advanced manufacturing, engineering technology, automation, robotics, and workforce development. Participants will gain practical knowledge not only in 3D printing, but also in the manufacturing processes, troubleshooting techniques, and real-world applications that drive today's advanced manufacturing industries.
Why Build Your Own Printer?
Prusa Research began by offering their printers as assembly kits, and that tradition continues today because building the printer yourself remains one of the best ways to truly understand how it operates.
By assembling your own Original Prusa MK4S, you will:
- Learn how every major component functions
- Understand printer calibration and maintenance
- Develop troubleshooting and repair skills
- Gain confidence in operating and teaching additive manufacturing technologies
- Experience one of the most engaging STEM and workforce development projects available
Thousands of makers, educators, engineers, and students around the world have built their own Prusa printers using Prusa's industry-renowned assembly guides. The process is straightforward and rewarding, requiring no soldering. All cables are pre-cut, labeled, and ready to connect, making assembly accessible to participants with little or no prior experience.
What You'll Take Home
Each participant will leave with:
- A fully assembled Original Prusa MK4S 3D Printer
- Practical knowledge of additive manufacturing technologies
- Skills to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot their printer
- Resources and instructional materials to support classroom, laboratory, or organizational implementation
